Rationale: 

Stewarding digital content well is essential in order to avoid the negative effects that inappropriate management and sharing of data can have not only on the work of individuals but also on teams and whole communities.

Being able to use communication and collaboration technologies efficiently and appropriately increases effectiveness and reduces work time and costs.

Assessment Criteria: 

Is able to organise, safeguard and share digital content responsibly.

Is able to communicate and collaborate effectively through technology.

The following activities have been identified to achieve comptency in Technology for Consulting in levels from Learner to Expert.

Has Knowledge: 

Read online articles about good practice for maintaining laptops.

Set up Crashplan, or another backup system.

Take a course in Google G-Suite.

Take a course on using Zoom effectively.

Take a course in using Google drive for sharing files.

With Assistance: 

Setup antivirus software on your own devices, and keep software updated.

Set up and maintain a system for organizing your own data.

Create and use a presentation created using Powerpoint or Slides.

Learn to use WhatsApp, or another secure messaging app.

Set up a system and good habits for managing emails.

Carry out a small information gathering project using the internet

Independent: 

Take a course about phishing, and how to stay protected.

Create a survey using Google Forms.

Ask for feedback from colleagues on your use of emails.

Take an advanced course in using Google docs and sheets.

Use the internet to identify good practices for identifying reliable information
