Rationale:

This competency covers the usage and training of users that help them to publish work in print form and digitially.

Assessment Criteria:

Is able to use the tools that assist language workers to publish their work electronically and on paper and is able to consult others on their use.

The following activities have been identified to achieve comptency in Digital and Print Publishing in levels from Learner to Expert.

Has Knowledge:

Identify appropriate tools to produce draft print output of Scripture and dictionaries

Identify appropriate tools to produce digital output of Scripture and dictionaries for web and mobile.

Learn how to configure software to synchronize audio and text

With Assistance:

Use appropriate tools to produce draft print output of Scripture and dictionaries.

Use appropriate tools to produce digital output of Scripture and dictionaries for web and mobile.

Use software to synchronize audio with text.

Independent:

Customize and use appropriate tools to produce publishable output for Scripture and dictionaries.

Advise others on text and audio synchronization and to do micro adjustments to synchronized audio and text

Proficient:

Teach and mentor others to customize and use appropriate tools to produce publishable output for Scripture and dictionaries.

Teach and mentor others to configure and use audio and text synchronization software.

Expert:

Research the latest developments in current publishing tools.
