Knowing about the tasks, challenges, and workflows of a typical language program will allow you to find the most appropriate ways and times to intervene. This involves finding technical bottlenecks, training needs, and things done "the hard way" and making a positive impact on the program.

The following activities have been identified to achieve comptency in Language Programs in levels from Learner to Expert.
Identify the various stages of a language program, and understand the language program tasks in each stage.
Identify various tools to recommend for the more common stages of a language program.
Identify appropriate technology to recommend for each stage of a language program
Can compare and contrast the benefits of various technologies for each stage of a language program.
