Growth Activities
The following activities have been identified to achieve comptency in Instrumental Analysis in levels from Learner to Expert.
Learner:
Learn to use a speech analysis tool to identify pitch melodies, frequencies, and length of utterances.
Practitioner:
Learn to use and teach instrumental audio analysis tools (such as Praat or Speech Analyzer) to identify and quantify the qualities and parameters of spoken utterances.
Trainer:
Assist users with scripting to process and aggregate instrumental analysis data.
Expert:
Assist users with statistical computing (such as R) to calculate meaningful statistics to test hypotheses and display the results graphically.
