Usage on Linux for recording live music/voice

5

Audacity works very well on Linux (Ubuntu) especially when recording live spoken voice or singing.

It can be useful for monitoring the sound patterns to detect various vocal inflections (ie does the speaker get louder/softer when starting certain words/phrases.
