Update: Version 1.04 has been released! This version has a French interace as well as English (grâce à Dominique), and remembers the interface selection (as well as some additional configuration parameters) on subsequent runs. There is a new option in the Configure menu to treat combining diacritics as separate characters. This might be important in languages where accents represent tone and are treated as a segment above the letters. The installer is now hosted on the Outilingua.net web site.
Primer: find decodeable words in text corpus/word lists

Learning to read takes books. Learning to read well, and developing a love of reading, takes lots of books. Books at all different skill levels. But how are low-literacy language communities ever to get all those books in their language? They can do it with Bloom.
Bloom uses collections of "shell books" that come with multiple source languages. Read the ones you understand, type in a translation in your language, and you're done!
Synphony Community Edition is public domain software that assists in sequencing literacy training using intelligent analysis of wordlists in any language. SynPhony CE provides a user-friendly interface to help literacy teachers find teachable words to present to learners based on the letters that students already know.
The purpose of PrimerPro is to assist the literacy worker in the development of primers for a given language. The application performs these functions (and more):
It can suggest a teaching order of the graphemes based upon a word list or text data, using an algorithm which calculates their productivity.
It supports alphabets that contains consonants, vowels, tones and/or syllographs.
It can give a list of words containing any given grapheme from the word list or text data.
It can track "graphemes taught" ongoingly.
