Vocabulary Manager is a multimedia vocabulary learning tool, like an electronic flash card system with audio. VM allows you to create a database of vocabulary items with an image and two audio recordings (one for a 'citation' form and one for the 'in context' form) for each item. As you build the database, you can practice the words, and test yourself in terms of comprehension, production, and spelling. When you want to share the database and audio and picture files, the program will package it up for easy sharing. The new users can then easily modify the database to meet their own language learning needs.
WordSend is a software project that allows you to convert Scripture files from Unicode USFM (and eventually from selected other formats) to other formats for the purpose of publishing those Scriptures in various print or electronic formats. Currently, the most useful transformation is the conversion of Unicode USFM to Microsoft Word XML documents (WordML) for the purpose of typesetting or printing for village checking. It is also possible to use WordSend to help facilitate using Microsoft Word 2003 or later as a Scripture editor in some cases.
SUMMARY: A Unicode typesetting system based on TeX
DETAILS: XeTeX is a typesetting system based on a merger of Donald Knuth's TeX system with Unicode and modern font technologies and is still in the experimental stage of its development.
XeTeX is a command-line tool, like standard TeX and pdfTeX processors. It is most commonly used via a graphical environment such as TeXShop (Mac OS X), KILE (Linux), WinEDT (Windows), or others.
RTF2SFM converts a styled Word .RTF file to UTF8-encoded SFM. Unlike the old SF Converter package, RTF2SFM correctly handles Unicode characters.
RTF2SFM is part of the SIL::RTF Perl module that provides an event-driven parser for examining or processing RTF files. The program is supplied either as a Perl module (requiring Perl 5.8 or later) or as a standalone Windows .EXE file.
Produces a reverse sorted word list (that is, words are sorted alphabetically beginning with their last letter instead of according to their first letter).

PhoneBox is designed to support the analysis of language data that has been collected using The Field Linguist's Toolbox.
With PhoneBox you can
- use phonetic data collected with Toolbox, without any import or conversion.
- generate a table of all phones in the data (phone inventory), and of how often they occur (frequency count).
- generate environment charts of all phones ...
PalmSurv will take the place of paper and pen in word list elicitation by enabling a surveyor to transcribe word lists directly onto his/her PalmOS handheld computer. Different views of the data allow the surveyor to visually compare word lists and scroll through forms elicited in the language being researched. The word list data can then be transferred to a desktop computer via HotSync..
Optimality Theory Software (OTSoft) - Rank constraints in Optimality Theory using a variety of algorithms.
OTSoft is a Windows program meant to facilitate analysis in Optimality Theory by using algorithms to do tasks that are too large or complex to be done reliably by hand. It is also meant to save time and effort, particularly in word-processing.
Use a computer to implement and check solutions to classical paradigm-based phonology problems.
From the website referenced below:
Phonology Pad is a program written for use in Linguistics 120A, "Phonology I", in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA.
PhonologyPad is a program that lets you do classical phonology problems (with paradigms, underlying forms, and ordered rules). It never tells you the answer to a problem, but it always checks your answer for accuracy, and it often points out problems with your answer that need to be fixed.
